Mobile App Development

Built for a mid-range Android phone on a patchy connection, because that is what most of your users are holding.

We build native where the app depends on platform capability, and cross-platform in React Native or Flutter where one codebase genuinely serves both. That decision is made from your requirements, not from what we would prefer to write, and we will explain the trade-off in terms of cost and capability rather than technology preference.

The engineering that matters in mobile is mostly about adverse conditions: offline behaviour, background sync, battery cost, and an install size that people on metered data will accept. An app that only works on a flagship phone on office wifi has not been tested, it has been demonstrated.

Scope

What the work includes.

Written into the scope before anything starts, so there is nothing to discover on the invoice.

Platform choice, argued from requirements

Native, React Native or Flutter — chosen against your feature list and budget, with the reasoning written down.

Offline-tolerant behaviour

Queued actions, local caching and conflict resolution, so a dropped connection does not lose a user's work.

Store submission handled

App Store and Play Store listings, review guidelines, privacy declarations and phased release — under your own developer accounts.

Push, deep links and analytics

Notification infrastructure, deep linking into the right screen, and event tracking that answers a real question.

Real-device testing

Tested on the mid-range hardware and network conditions your users actually have, not only on a simulator.

Questions

Before you commit.

Cross-platform for the majority of business apps — one codebase, two platforms, materially lower cost, and the performance gap is invisible for most feature sets. Native when the app leans hard on platform capability: heavy graphics, deep hardware integration, background processing at the edge of what the OS allows. We will tell you which side of that line you are on before quoting.

Frequently not, and we would rather say so early. If your users interact occasionally, a fast mobile site reaches them with no install friction and no store review. An app earns its place with repeat use, offline needs, push notification value, or genuine hardware requirements. If none apply, we will suggest the cheaper answer.

Yours, always. We publish under your Apple and Google accounts so the listings, reviews and user base belong to you. Apps published under an agency account are a trap that surfaces on the day you want to change agency.
